Our key design principle is to understand the people who will occupy the spaces we create.

Ben Reed Architects is a design-led architectural practice. We work closely with our clients, challenging concepts and strategies in order to develop optimum design solutions. Our ultimate objective is to design beautiful, efficient and rewarding buildings and spaces, incorporating innovative and sustainable ideas wherever appropriate.

Our creative solutions to each and every client brief are delivered through developing a clear understanding of the people who will occupy the spaces we create. This is combined with a considered design response to the immediate and surrounding context. Throughout the design process we continue to test and explore concepts surrounding function, the use of light and the character of each space, inside and out.

Before setting up Ben Reed Architects, Ben worked for many years at a senior level at Sheppard Robson Architects. There, Ben designed and project managed many diverse and complex projects, most notably the Kingspan Lighthouse project, the UK’s first net zero carbon house, winning many awards for its pioneering sustainable design. Ben continues to work in all building sectors, using his extensive experience and knowledge of the market, his understanding of occupiers and his range of design, technical and management skills to create exciting new spaces.
